I use this in conjunction with a Strion flashlight for nighttime Hog hunting. Easy to pop the cap on/off to switch between IR and white light.
The only problem is that I have to completely remove the cover in order to charge the flashlight. However, given the ease of putting on and taking off the cover, it is not an issue to me.
Pros: easy to switch from IR to white light
Cons: can not charge with cap on
