Stopped working - Streamlight TLR-1 C4 LED Rail-Mounted Weapon Flashlight

I ordered this light on December 07, 2016. I put brand new Surefire-branded 123s in it and tested it out, then mounted it to my home defense AR-15. Every couple months, I check all my gear, even gear I haven't used. I hadn't used the light, because there was no need to turn it on and waste useful battery life. I turned the rocker and nothing - not light. I removed and tested the batteries. Both tested right at 3V, same as when brand new. I inserted new batteries just in case, still nothing. With the rocker in the "constant on" position, the light randomly turned on. I attributed this to the circuit possibly resetting. I manipulated the rocker a few times and the light seemed to work OK. 2 nights ago, there was a very loud noise outside that woke me and my dogs up. I grabbed the rifle and went to investigate with the dogs. The light would not turn on. Thankfully there was nothing nefarious. I am furious that a $125 light failed when I needed it. I strongly recommend against this product.
