Great light - Streamlight Waypoint Alkaline Filter

I bought this light because of the replaceable batteries or 12 volt cord. For the money this light is hard to beat. It will light up telephone posts at over 400 yards. It does have a very tight beam but at closer distances has some flooding to it. If your looking for a wide beam at long distances, this isn't going to work. The batteries are "C" cell and so far are lasting very well. I have energizer in it right now and doubt it will last as long as stated but I have used it for several hrs on high on the batteries only and its still a 400 yard light. If your spoting varmints with the red filter on I doubt it would reach more than 100 yards. I just got my filter in and its so thick It doesn't appear to work very well. If the filter was as thin as my stinger HL flip up filter it would be great.
