Clamps on with 2 screws that are pre loctited. The quick attach works awesome with my sling. Have a flashlight mount a d flashlight on the other side. Has nt come loose yet.. however have only put 100 rounds through it since putting it on my turknelli..
If you are worried about light scratches in the finish this may not be for you.
Would Recommend: Yes
