The most noticeable part is the reduced charging force required. A milspec spring gets much harder to pull back toward the rear of the travel, but this spring has a more consistent force through the whole stroke. Other than that, the rifle functions exactly the same. I didn't notice a reduced spring/scraping noise because I always grease my buffer springs well and they usually don't make much noise anyway. I also didn't notice any reduced recoil. With that being said, I think this spring would function with a lot less gas, I just need to get around to installing an adjustable gas block at which point I'm sure I could tune the recoil down.
