Maybe its just me. - Strike Industries AR Carbine Flat Wire Spring

This review by no means reflects optics planet, and this is purely a personal opinion. I purchased this product for a lightweight AR build after reading positive sound reduction reviews. Initial thoughts after inspecting this flat-wire buffer spring next to a standard buffer spring; about 3-4 inches longer, so maybe it is just tooled like this for compression since it is flat-wire. Makes it a little more finess to install (non-issue). I pulled my Sprinco silicon moly spring from an existing rifle, to test for comparison. OH BOY, there is more metal sound in this buffer spring than a cheap coil bed. Action was nowhere near as smooth. Sorry, SI makes great buffers, but the springs are a miss... Result:Back to Sprinco to order a reduced recoil (yellow) spring. Recommended Options:JP Silent Captured.
