Chris in Ga.'s Review of Strike Industries Strike Folding Stock Adapter Cheek Riser

The Strike Industries Dual Folding brace is a great assitant for any gun with a 1913 adapter. But the brace is sparse and skeltonized by design, which leaves a shooter wanting more of a cheek weld, if / when needed. To answer that problem, Strike Industries made the Add-On Cheek Riser. Its small plastic body adds very little weight. It is very durable and well made. The 2 points of contact and handy thumb screws allow the shooter to easily adjust the risers angle and height. It can be places totally flat for minimal rise, or raised up about an inch to 1 1/2". This does not sound like much, but is adequate enough for most sighting systems. Placing it at an angle gives even more comfort and control, and sighting stability. The riser can quickly be removed for storage & transport in just a minutes time. It looks good and works even better.
Con: Depending on the gun used, the riser may interfere with charging handles or other controls on the gun, when the brace is folded or straight! Ie. A rear charging AR-15, may have problems with the charging handle hitting the cheek riser!
You can occasionally pick one up, when they go on sale, and I highly recommend you do. If you have went to the expense of installing the Dual Folding Brace, this little add-on Completes the package. you will not be disappointed you bought it!
Pros:
  • durable
  • light weight
  • compact
  • Easy to operate
  • improves accuracy
  • Easy install / removal
Cons:
  • May interfer with some Charging handles & other controls
Best Used for:
  • proper cheek weld
  • Proper sight alignment
