Zen's Review of Strike Industries GridLok AR-15 Picatinny Handguard
Recently I purchased this handguard for my 300BLK build. When assembling the other parts to this, you are given a magnetic tool to install the alan key retention caps that are installed from inside the handguard outwards. The magnet could have been stronger, while aligning the pieces it was common for the cap to slip off the magnet. Also, unless "coached into full seated position" the handguard does not sit completely flush with the upper receiver. Other than those two things. I love it and it looks great.
Pros:
- light weight
- Looks great
- has enough mlok and rails for essential gear
Cons:
- slightly difficult to assemble
- does not seat fully flush
- barrel nut easily damaged
Best Used for:
- any builds for aesthetics
