Adequate but a bit underwhelming, work well for smaller handguards - Strike Industries M-LOK Rail Covers, V2

I've purchased these several times because I have a bazillion hand guards and setups that sometimes need sacrificial protective covers just to guard the hand guard itself from being scratched up by aiming against cover, etc. However they have one big, glaring weakness: They just don't have very much grip when it comes to actually holding the weapon. The Magpul gen2 low profile ones have incredible stippling and provide not only sacrificial damage protection but solid grip as well. These actually *detract* from grip, if you ask me.

They are, however, extremely low-profile. They only protrude externally about 1mm or so, maybe 2mm at most.

Another gripe (I know, I'm going on a bit too much about something I have given three stars to) is that the mounting fins go pretty deep into and then past the MLOK slot on nearly all thickness of rail materials, and can be crowded out in some situations by things like the gas block, internally fitting muzzle devices, etc.
