Excellent fit and finish - Strike Industries SI AR Forward Assist

The forward assist was installed on a Sig 716. The color looks great(red), and design is an excellent modern version. It was a fairly straight forward installation, use a punch pin and knock out the OEM forward assist. Then, carefully, from the top of the upper receiver, set the new punch pin in place and lightly tap on it to get it set in its bore. Once it is set, push the new forward assist with the spring into place. Hold the spring in place, and then tap on the pin until it is holding the spring and assist in place. Once it is, tap the pin the rest of the way into the bore. The new punch pin, spring and forward assist all fit together easily and snugly. The forward assist performs as it should, ratcheting the bolt carrier forward. The crown gives a better grip for your thumb then the old design. An excellent product by Strike Industries. If you want to ad style as well as a functional upgrade, this is the one.
