There's a sting associated with the exorbitant pricetag of this light, but the Surefire claim is that you get cost-no-object quality with first rate customer support. I learned first hand that is false. Within three days of easy carry, the clip on my EDC1 loosened noticeably. I reached out to customer service and they took 4 days to get back to me. The rep ended up telling me I could intall a new clip that probably wouldn't solve the issue, return it or ship it to Surfire on my own dime for an indeterminate amount of time so they could look at it. To purchase this light on a blue collar salary was not nothing, but I enthusiastically plunked down my cash trusting in the Surefire brand. Generally speaking, the light is otherwise nicely put together and the specs are good. However, the performance gap between Surefire and its' imported competitors are minimal. Then there's the issue of the end user experience following the purchase, which Surefire, obviously cares very little about. What happened? Maybe they're satisfied with the portion of the market they already own and are happy to stay fat and lazy. I'm sad about this because I wanted to love this light and feel justified in trusting Surefire with my investment. Bottom line, this is not a perfect light even though it should be for the price and if your expecting any level of service better than what you would get at the DMV, you're going to be bitterly disappointed. Seek alternative options unless your cash is burning a hole in your pocket. Thanks.
