TLDR, This surefire muzzle device was listed as a 7.62-cal device, but is not. This is a 5.56 muzzle adapter. Specifically, the product code here is SF3P-556-MK46, and is meant for the FN-mk46 machine gun only. In order to fit this to most standard AR thread pitches, you would need an adapter to mount it, which is another whole can of worms entirely. I had originally purchased this muzzle device because I was planning on mounting a suppressor to a 7.62 rifle which uses the 9/16x24 LH thread setup. Not only is this muzzle device not for the right caliber, but it is also unable to mount the suppressor I was intending to use.
