I purchased this conversion head to upgrade a SureFire M900 weapon light from the old incandescent bulb it came with when I bought it years ago. Back then it was pretty sweet, but by modern standards I found it lacking after working in some low light situations recently. The KX9 conversion is far brighter than the old head, although it is quite a bit longer. Since the head rides under the barrel of the weapon it's not a bit factor except maybe for a bit more forward weight. Excellent product, very happy with this purchase.
