Poor quality - SureFire M600DF Ultra Scout Light Dual Fuel LED Weapon

Look, before you dismiss my review take a moment and do some research on M600DF emitters. If you are somewhat competent you will find what I and many others have experienced. The failure of the LED emitter is not something that can be tolerated, especially on weapons light. My M600DF worked fine for a few months, but it progressively began to deteriorate in performance until the point at which the light would no longer power on. It wasn’t the batteries, threads, contacts, etc... I have been in the game long enough, the basics were all checked and covered. So I contacted Surefire to warranty the light, they sent me a label nothing else. No apology for the trouble or failure of their touted "guaranteed to perform, legendary products”. It was over a month without any sort of communication from Surefire, before the light was sent back without notice or progress of the repair/ replacement. They sent it back in plain box nothing to protect the light, not even the same bubble packaging I used to transport the light. No sticker, coupon, note, nothing.... I mean their flagship product has known issues and they cannot even bother to even throw in a spare battery or apologize for the 30 plus days you had to be without a light. Thankfully, I am not on duty, but if I was this entire process would really tick me off. For a company with the slogan ( Go with the proven performer. Go SureFire. ), I find it ironic that my hated Olights have outperformed all of my surefire products M600DF’s, X400, X300. Even my latest Warcomp arrived with poor machining marks, burs, and poor quality control. As someone who used to love this company, reality has abruptly stepped in. Surefire is not relevant anymore, there are so many other options on the market. For their top tier price point you can get much better products, from great companies with better performance and features. Surefire lives of their military contracts, outdated designs, and poor customer service. If you aren’t an operator, influencer, or gov they could care less about your product experience. I learned my lesson, hopefully you can avoid the nuisance of learning the same lesson.
