Great light, but more signature with the ir setting than i was expecting - SureFire Scout Light M600V LED Weapon Light w/ White & IR Output

Definitly a quality product from Surefire. Until purchasing this light I had been using a an old 6P, and the the difference is night and day. The white light is bright and clear, and very even. Fit and finish on all components is great. My only complaint is that there is significantly more down range signature with the IR light than I was expecting. The red glow is easily visible with the unaided eye. I would not want to use this IR illuminator searching for more dangerous prey. That being said, the IR illumination is clear and bright, and reflected nicely off the eyes of the racoon that had been getting in our trash. Does it's job.
