Beware, this will break if "overtightened"!
The directions say to tighten until "snug", then turn 1/4 turn more to secure. The problem is that "snug" is not a specified measurement. With that said, I tightened to exactly what I thought that meant. After shooting 50 rounds or so through my Sig Sauer P320 40 cal I noticed that the unit was loosening. I re secured it a couple more times with a 1/4 to 1/2 turn further each time thinking that I'm just not tightening is "SNUG" enough and didn't want to over tighten. Bottom line is that 3 adjustments and 6 months later with 200 rounds I noticed that the rails on the side are split from apparent over tightening and now this $400 piece of junk is useless to me.

Good quality
Seems to be very well made. Nice fit and finish. Comes packaged very well. Don't forget to check on specific applications, some may require additional mounting plates. Would have given 5 stars if light and laser were on independent switches. Both light and laser come on simultaneously.
Best Used for:
- I used it on a CZ P-10 9mm

Please get the XC2 over the XC1 you have the added laser my pistol is 100 times more accurate with this thing. I absolutely love it. Worth it best and most compact light on the market also. It’s Surefire. The best

Excellent light
This thing is tiny and weighs almost nothing! Very bright and the laser is easy to aquire even during the day. My only complaint is that it has to have the laser and the flashlight on at the same time. It would be a 5 star if you could activate just the laser.

surefire quality
Have this on my carry large frame glock. I've had no fitment issues as a previous reviewer stated with their glock. The one screw tightens in the rail slot and the other is for overall tightness. It clearly explains the purpose and proper installation in the user manual.
It's been a good accessory. The laser holds zero incredibly well, no movement at all after it gets set, even with abuse. My shots are quicker and more accurate. I think the brightness is great for a compact light and more than adequate for any situation I'll ever encounter.
My only wish is that the battery life was longer (it's about 30min) but at least it's a rechargeable battery and you don't have to unmount it from the weapon like x400 series that I had on previously. Would definitely recommend it, and especially if it's on sale.

works great but not for a glock
As expected with surefire it looks and works great. Light is super bright and I have no issues seeing the laser even in a well illuminated area. The only issue I have is that it’s not like in the picture. The actual light has two prongs on the back portion where you slide it on the rail and a screw that runs across it that you tighten. which makes it impossible to put on a glock without having to screw it tight and making some indents on the frame. (Learned that the hard way) overall its a great light but I have to return it because it won’t fit correctly.

Cucamonga kid
I checked with Surefire this morning to confirm that it has a 300 lm light not a 200 as specified on this website. I also found out that this XC2 is slightly larger than the XC1 therefore if you have a Kydex holster for the XC1 it will be really tight with this new light. Also learned that the light and laser are not independently switched. If the light is on the laser is on also. Having said all that I am still going to order one.
Best Used for:
- It will ride underneath the barrel of my Smith and Wesson M and P9 pro series which is my nightstand gun.
