Good option vs the deployment clasp band - Suunto Observer Straps for Suunto Observer Watches

This is a good option versus the expensive titanium deployment clasp band that came on my Suunto Explorer. I liked the deployment clasp style band for ease of getting the watch on and off, but it cracked with little stress after a year and is nearly $100 or more to replace.

This band seems durable, but I wish it had a one sided buckle. It has a 2 sided buckle so you have to really fold the band to get it through the other side of the buckle. I fear over time this will cause additional stress to the band and early failure. At least it is a $20 band versus a $100 band.

It feels sturdy and lays flat when on your wrist. The stylish holes on the band should also allow some air flow when involved in active tasks.

Nice band for the money! So far, so good!
Pros: Less Expensive, feels sturdy, breathable holes in band
Cons: Might be too stiff over time and crack like original band did.
