I have owned a Casio Pathfinder, the Suunto Observer, and now the Advizor. I have to say that this is the best out of the three.
Semi-intuitive buttons access features easily (after practicing for a bit), and the bubble level for the compass ensures dead-on accuracy. I tested the compass against my military lensatic compass and every time, it was an exact reading. Also, the dual time zone feature comes in handy when you're halfway around the world.
The only downsides are tactical ones. The entire face is backlit (as opposed to just the numbers in the Observer) so when you're operating in noise/ light discipline on patrols, it sticks out like a sore thumb. Some of the programs like the rate of ascent/ descent and countdown timers require you to manipulate several buttons in sequence. Not exactly user-friendly in that regard. Also, the watch for its price, should be water resistant enough that I could dive with it.
All-in-all, the best Suunto watch for the money. I'd definitely recommend it and would buy it again in a heartbeat.
Pros: Great Features, Heart rate monitor, Easy-to-use compass
Cons: Entire watch face is backlit, difficult to access certain features, not as waterproof as I would have liked
