Swarovski's commitment to quality doesn't apply to lens covers - Swarovski EL Binocular Objective Flip-down Lens Cover for Swarovski Optik EL Binoculars

The lens cover is easy to attach, fits well, and protects the lens when required. However, sometimes I raise my binoculars to find one cover flipped back onto lens while the binculars were hanging around my neck. Worse is that the rubber linking the cover and the ring cleanly snaps during normal use without any sign of wear first! I've had my bins for two years but have gone through FOUR separate covers. Its seems Swarovski's commitment to quality doesn't extend to its lens covers. I'm also put off by the fact that they are sold individually rather than as a pair, and each is relatively expensive for a piece of molded rubber. But what choice does a Swarovski binocular owner have?
Pros: Protects lenses when needed, easy to flip down
Cons: Rubber easily snaps, sometimes flips up on its own
