Wasted my money - Sylvan Arms AR15/AR9 Gen3 Folding Stock Adapter

Don't normally write reviews but this one was frustrating. I'm a certified armorer and experienced with the AR platform. Product installed easy, I immediately noticed it would not close without the release button being depressed, seemed to be an alignment issue. I overlooked this as for the purpose I wanted it for it wouldn't matter. Everything appeared to be tight and in working order and otherwise function tested well. Took it to the range to test fire and made it through about 100rnds of 9mm before the stock folded open and jammed the action. I returned the stock to the locked position and ensured it was closed. At this point there was noticeable movement in the locking mechanism. A few more rounds downrange and the stock opened again. I immediately removed the adapter and finished my range day. Upon removal I also noticed that the retaining pin that holds the buffer and spring in place was bent. Overall cheap and unreliable craftsmanship. Nothing I would ever trust my life on. Do yourself a favor and save up for a trusted and reliable folder.
