Yugo rail might need modification - Tacfire AK Tactical Quad Rail

This review is for the longer YUGO quad rail, as fit on NPAP/OPAP or Yugoslavian parts kit rifles. The rail is of good quality aluminum, with the slant on the left forward so it doesn't hang up if a sling is attached just forward of that area, and the upper handguard forward portion has the rail cut down to accommodate the grenade sight if present on your gas block. The downside is that you will probably need to remove aluminum from the inside rear of the upper handguard, to properly fit on your gas tube. I've found the rear retainer on the gas tube is wider/taller than the quad rail upper will allow, resulting in the handguard either not fitting at all, or if it does fit, it tends to slant forward disallowing properly securing the two handguard pieces together. If you have a dremel-type tool with the cutoff-wheel attachment you can easily remove the offending aluminum, and you will not see the modification when installed. So the price point is very good on this offering, but you will likely need to do a little work to get it to fit right (and not make permanent modification to the rifle).
