As cheap as this was I didn't expect much but 4 years and a 1000 rounds later it's still kicking. I installed an frt in it so it's gotten pretty warm with my buddies and I passing it around and shooting non stop. Nothing has broken on it. Finish still looks good. Highly recommend this for your first build.

easy to assemble fires straight and true, great product

This kit had everything I need. Was really easy to use everything fit perfectly I was using a PSA lower this kit fits it no problem no modifications were needed went together with basic tools.

I bought two of these TacFire AR-15 5.56 Complete Upper Receiver w/ Pistol Lower Parts Kits... The first one I built was straight out of the box with no modifications, the second one I put a red dot can, enhanced selector switch, mag release, bolt release, trigger guard, fat boy hand grip and a big oll compensator I had laying around my build bench... I tell everyone that it is my home defense AR but at the range the truth is there for all to see lol...

The assemby went smooth. All the parts were there. The parts were at or above my expectations for tha price. Reason for the two star is the manufacturer did not package well. Not Optics but the manufacturer. The hand guard had some damage.

This is the third TacFire Upper and parts kit I've purchased. After ordering my first kit I was so impressed that I ordered a second. After showing the completed AR-15 to a few friends I've been asked to build one for one of those friends. I received the TacFire kit a few days ago and was once again impressed with the pistol that will cost less than $500 when completed.

Assembling the kit was straight forward and the fit was good.

If you are looking for a $2,000 or even $1,000 AR-15 pistol, keep looking, this is not the kit for you. But if you are looking for inexpensive AR-15 pistol, that you won't mind getting a few scratches on, and may loan out to friends or relatives expecting they might bring it back with scratches or nicks this is the kit for you.

P.S. I suggest before assembling the kit that you give the barrel and bore a good cleaning. The bore was very dirty but once cleaned, it looks great.

A month or so ago I purchased a TacFire AR-15 5.56 Complete Upper receiver w/Pistol Lower Parts Kit. I was so impressed that I ordered a second TacFire Kit. I was not disappointed. The only thing missing in the kit was the "C" clamp for the installation of the dust cover. I think I can overlook this. I just finished the assembly of this second pistol and believe it feels and looks better than the first.
I have not yet fired the first or second pistol but I'm sure they will perform just as good as they look.

This is the first TacFire AR-15 I have ordered. The Order, shipping, and delivery from Optics Planet was par (maybe even better) with any other firearm internet supplier. Once I received the TacFire AR I took inventory and found that all parts advertised in the Optics Planet website were there. Within a week after delivery, I was able to assemble the AR with a stripped lower. The assembly was straightforward, and all parts fit as designed. I have not test fired the weapon, but it appears, feel and 'dry function' as expected. The weapon is a $500 weapon and if there is any expectations that this AR is of the same quality as a 'high-end' AR-15 is reaching. For a $500 weapon I am very pleased with it and in fact I ordered a second TacFire AR-15 5.56 Complete Upper receiver w/Pistol Lower Parts Kit that will be delivered in a couple days. I expect this second order will be as satisfactory as the first.

As many others i saw at a price i couldnt pass up. I hathing but problems from the beginning with the forward assist to the dust cover. C clips broke, roll pin didnt fit. Absolute garbage and wouldnt waste you time or money
