Cheap metal sight eats itself - TacFire Offset Deployable Iron Sight

the pin you see to the right at the bottom to allow the sights to flip up and down actually started to gouge the metal rail the sights ride up and down on. This went from smooth to a... "gentle struggle" in about 4 flips. I always wondered if people were just too hard on the equipment when they write reviews like this but I can say I was gentle! I wouldn't recommend them because the metal is cheap and theye are not a solid sight compared to my friends magpul sights. To try and explain this more there is a wheel, attached to those pins or buttons i guess..that rides the rail from lowered to "locked up right"; there is a "divot" at the top of the rail to lock it in position but it does a poor job. The spring holds it in place so you can count on the shot being accurate but that much movement means there is room for sights to fall out of tune. will do the trick in a sticky situation but that's about all they are good for... looks and a end of the world scenario where you lost your optics and have nothing else!

It gets a 3 star because I haven't contacted the manufacturer to sort it out. The front sight is a 3 the rear sight ate itself to death so 1 star for the rear!
