Good for molle/pals, not good for web belts - Tacprogear Quad Pistol Mag Pouch w/ Griptite

I bought this pouch to carry extra mags for my Springfield 1911 double stack 45 on an M1 Garand web belt. The straps on the back easily secure the pouch to the web belt but are too long and the pouch hangs out at a 45 degree angle. This is both uncomfortable and awkward. I think this pouch will work well on a MOLLE/PALS system but I'll need to keep looking for a suitable pouch for my application.
Pros: Well made, versatile, durable
Cons: Not designed for a regular web belt
