Love this addition to my bolt gun - Tactical Solutions Compensator 10/22 .920in 1/2x28 Tpi

I recently picked up a Ruger American Rimfire Target .22 LR and I chose this product to be my compensator! This rifle comes with a gloss finish barrel with a threaded barrel end, and Tactical Solutions was the only company I could find that offers a compensator out of the box for a bull barrel in a gloss black finish. I knew that there would be a minor size difference between the Ruger gloss bull barrel (.870 I believe...?) and this TS comp (.920) but I can work with it. (While handling the rifle you will notice the comp is just a hair larger but once you observe the rifle from 5’ away, say as it is resting on a bi-pod or at a table on a rest, the comp and barrel look to be the same gloss finish and size.) When I go to the range with my kids I like to have them strictly shoot sub-sonic ammunition out of another bolt action rifle kiddie rifle and I shoot the typical, louder, hotter stuff out the ‘adult guns.’ Well at the end of our last range day, I polished off a box of the kid’s CCI lead nosed sub-sonic ammo (1040 FPS) out of the Ruger American Target equipped with the TS compensator and I was impressed at how reduced the muzzle report was over the faster, jacketed HP rounds I was shooting just a magazine earlier. Was it the rimfire load? Was it the compensator? I’d like to think they both contributed to that effect. When I returned from the range that day I cleaned everything up and reinstalled the compensator with blue Loctite. My compensator search is over. HIGHLY recommend for this non-typical rifle build.
