Absolutely mandatory if you're running a shotgun, works like a charm. Good quality aswell, the craftsmanship is good. TAG is really sturdy and can take the abuse. The elastic shell holders are high quality and won't wear out easily. They hold the shells I'm really tight so I can run and gun without the worry of them falling out. Definitely plan to buy another one to go on my vest.
