I am very impressed with the piece. I have been TAG customer for more than 5 years or so, so I knew what to expect in some ways. Quality of workmanship is on high level, as usual, but what made an impression was the size and wieght of the rig. It seems like it is smaller than the TAG plate carrier and does not weigh any more than it. It is very compact piece, more so than it appears in the photos.
Despite the compact size, the sizing itself is pretty generous. I'm 6ft 200lb guy and use the small or medium size setting(vest has 3 different sizes + some adjustment on velcros), so it might be still little bit too big for thin guys on the smallest setting. I purchased SM/MD vest, but the it should be noted the sizing only applies to the plate size (SM/MD for 10x12 inch plates).
Design is excellent. The release mechanism is likely to work well, and it is relatively easy to set up again. I like the way it is set up on the shoulder straps.
What is extremely important for me is the very small hindrance it causes for rifle shooting. Shoulders are thin, and there are no adjustment buckles on the front side of the shoulder. In addition on being thin and even on the shoulder the front of the shoulder is covered in anti-slip material which is an excellent thing for a rifleman making the gun easy to control in all sorts of positions.
If I had to find something that I do not like, it would be how the plates are set up. The pockets are not as tight fit as with TAG's plate carrier, and they allow normal sized plates to move around just a bit. Also I would have liked to have more velcro in holding the plate in place to really secure it in place.
Pros: Lightweight, small profile, excellent design, well made
Cons: Takes some time to set up nice.
