I had been having problems mounting a quality scope with short main tube. The rifle, a Weatherby Vanguard, was pre-owned with totally the wrong bases. A brief survey showed a strong preference for Talley rings for the Vanguard. The Talley rings came and were strongly made and well finished. These rings are an excellent value. The rings were stout and did very well on this heavy recoiling rifle. The rings are first class in all ways.
