stiingya's Review of TangoDown Glock 43/43X/48 Vickers Tactical Slide Racker

To my eye/feel the 43x and 48 have slightly deeper OR sharper grooves cut in the slide. So this is just a little extra security/additional dexterity during mag changes, failure to fire, etc. I practice both using the slide stop and slingshot and have both the 43 and 48 and so far just doing some dry fire working the slide I like it!! It's not something where I'm trying to rack it with the backplate, it's just that little extra bit of grip/dexterity. I use a chest pouch with the 48 slide on the 43 frame while mountain biking and often ride without one in the pipe. (just depends on terrain and how I feel where I'm riding?) So I saw this and thought with the way I carry mountain biking and the sort of side draw that's required that it was worth trying. And then I bought 2 of them since as I mentioned I think the original 43 slide isn't as tactile as the newer 48 slide? So far I think it's great on both pistols!
Pros:
  • little bit of extra dexterity
Cons:
  • None IMO
Best Used for:
  • cheaper than getting slide work
