I only was able to use these binoculars five times since purchased. The right front lens assembly broke off where it screws into the housing. The plastic is only 0.050 inch thick and should be 0.125 thick for this type of material. It is pretty obvious that the designers did not know the basics of designing with plastics nor did they know how to calculate handling stresses and apply them to the chosen materials. The optics were good, the quality of finish was good, it is too bad that the designers were totally clueless.

not happy
for the second time the front lens broke off from just being stored on the boat. when its called a marine binocular it should be able to take the bumps it will get from being on a boat.
