Patfast's Review of Tdi Arms AK47 Lower Handguards
I picked up this handguard because I wanted to mount a foregrip on my KR-103SF, since I felt the standard handguard was getting too hot while I was firing for me to comfortably hold it without gloves. At just $22 ($32 shipped), this is by far and away the cheapest option I've seen for a railed AK handguard, with some, such as the Barwarus Alpha rail, costing more than ten times as much. I installed this in conjunction with my Ultimak M1B railed gas block, so I had to take a Dremel and sand down a few bits on the handguard in order to get it to fit properly. It only took about an hour of work, and aside from that, the install process was nice and easy. The fit is super snug, definitely don't have to worry about it rattling at all, and now I've got a Magpul AFG1 on my gun. Overall, great product for the money.
Pros:
- Lightweight
- EASY INSTALL
- very cheap
Cons:
- Did require some dremeling, but nothing serious
Best Used for:
- Budget AK Owners
