This little unit is an excellent entry unit into thermal imaging for surveillance, security or search and rescue, the only drawbacks are the narrow field of view and it tends to eat batteries. It is rugged and the price at Optics Planet is tough to beat, to get a substantially wider field of view, would have cost almost $2,000 more.
Pros: compact, lightweight, great value, good resolution and sensitivity
