The machining and finish are top notch, it has a great feel when racking, and it looks awesome. Definitely not something you absolutely need, but I can rack it one handed on my belt or on any flat edge pretty easily. Works just fine on my gen 3 Glock 19. I’m not a firearms expert by any means, but in my experience backplates made for gen 5’s are generally cut wide enough to fit all models, but backplates made for gen 3’s won’t function on a gen 5. So if you were wondering, yes this works on a gen 3.
