Good loader but could be better - Tippmann Arms Speed Loader

I bought this because it looked like it would be a great loader for my S&W MP1522. I have a couple of McFadden lightening loaders and they struggle loading past 15 roinds and I have to assist by pulling down on the loading button. When i first tried the Tippman it loaded so easy i wasn't sure it was working but could see the ammo going on the mag. Then on the next 1522 mag it was loading the ammo but the follower didn't move past about half way. So when i removed the mag some of the ammo came falling out. The loader had put enough pressure to split open the mag at the seam. It was an older magazine and I repaired it using super glue and a thin layer of carbon fiber. Now it works just fine. I've already reinforced a couple more of my older mags that were questionable and the Tippman works great.
