NoNoBadDog's Review of Traditions Pistol Snap Caps, .380 ACP
I needed snap caps for my new RUGER LCP MAX 380 in order to dry fire and practice some manual at arms. I have some TRADITIONS SNAP CAPS in of calibers and they have always performed as designed. These 380 ACP SNAP CAPS are no different.
I purchased 2 packages of 5 caps each to load the 10 round magazine. I practiced using the mag loader with the caps and became familiar with the 10 round magazine. Inserting and extracting the magazine in a variety of round count and pistol presented some unexpected particularities.
I prefer the TRADITIONS design over the solid plastic or aluminum designs. The TRADITIONS design allow the firing pin some cushion on impact and the entire firing pin mechanism a controlled deceleration and then a natural rebound that is close to actual a live ammunition discharge cycle. The caps a reasonably durable.
I am always pleased with TRADITIONS products and OPTICS PLANET.
