Since magnfication at close range is not optimal and in fact can be quite a problem, the dot piggyback sits flawlessly on top ready for CQB issues. No need to physically have to flip a magnifier aside when I can drop immediately to the dot reticle with my eyes. If you ever have to do this its probably during a time when time is precious and very possibly life saving. As in yours. Love this piece of equipment. Tough, dependable. High quality product.
