What prompted me to purchase this scope was a recent Africa trip where I used a scope that was less than ideal. The scope used was a 1-5X that magnification is fine for dangerous game (Cape Buffalo was being hunted) but for plains game, where the shots are a little bit longer on occasion, more power would be nice.
