BigBubbaInGA's Review of Trijicon Credo CR1036 2-10x36mm Rifle Scope, 30 mm Tube, First Focal Plane (FFP)
I had the good fortune of needing to select an optics for an FN SCAR 17. It’s a versatile rifle and there are at least a dozen solid choices - I considered the Leupold Mk 3-5 lineup, Nightforce NX8 and ATACR, Vortex and others. I didn’t have a specific mission for the set-up, but I did want to be able to stretch out a little bit (the 4x on an ACOG felt limiting for this old man). I don’t really see myself kicking in doors with the 17 so I didn’t need a true 1x or red dot (but if I do I’ll offset mount one). This scope has a lot going for it, FFP, illuminated reticle, great glass and the Trijicon name. It looks terrific on the rifle and is extremely well made. In the end, I caught a nice end of run sale that put this ahead of the Leupold Mk5HD.
Pros:
- Trijicon brand
- 2-10x
- Reasonably sized objective
Cons:
- Cannot find a kill flash to fit a 36mm
Best Used for:
- Larping
- Hog management 50-750 yards
