Superb equipment, but made for right handed shooters - Trijicon Electro Optics REAP-IR 35mm Thermal Weapon Sight w/8x E-Zoom

I transitioned from an Armasight Zeus Pro 336-60 3x12 to this scope. At twice the cost of the Armasight, it was a little difficult to justify initially. But boy oh boy, this scope is twice as clear. Out of the box, in pitch dark, I could tell if a cat 40 yards away was wearing a collar or not. I like the thumb joystick controller and the way the controls are laid out in the image, with one complaint: I'm left handed, and the controller is on the right side, rather than the top like the Armasight. I wish that the unit was made so that the control was on top rather than the right side, so that lefty's would find it equally convenient--as it is, I have to either take my hand off the forearm to adjust it, or reach around the sight from the left--both moves are awkward for lefties. That is the only change I might make to this sight. Truly awesome performance.
