Warning!! might not be right for your gun - Trijicon Bright & Tough RE04 Remington Night Sights for Remington Shotguns 870, 1100 & 1187

Awesome sights, but beware! If you own a tactical 870 model 25077, (this is the model that has a magazine tube about 1.5" shorter than the barrel), do not follow the Trijicon instructions found on the internet or you will drill the rear hole for the rear sight into thin steel. This must be why one of the reviews at midwayusa.com says it is not made for the tactical 870. (I ignored that review, oops) To mount it on a model 25077, you must mount your sight farther back, then hope there is enough elevation adjustment to make up for lowering the sight when you moved it rearward due to the curvature of the receiver. I drilled into thin steel for the rear hole and ended up using the supplied fastener in the front hole and JB Weld in the rear. My rear sight is on very solid, but 2 screws is best. Perhaps a 48 thread tap would be adequate in the thin part.
I epoxied and pinned the front sight.
