Tim G's Review of Trijicon RM03 RMR Dual Illuminated 13 MOA Reflex Sight
When I started looking for a reflex sight I wasn't aware of what Trijicon had to offer but for my set up it was tailor made. The dual illumination is perfect, no switches, buttons or dials...EVER!! I went with the largest Dot because my need is strictly CQ. Amber was my choice for it's dissimilarity to everything I thought to encounter.
It's plenty bright but not too much in low light/dark situations. Completely visible in full sun. Adjustments are straight forward and easy. If you have it mounted on a shouldered weapon you can see some artifacts in the display but it's minimal.
From the beginning I was pretty certain I wanted a QD style mount. I used the one that came with the unit for a time but I didn't like the large knob both aesthetically and functionally. It just looked wrong which is no issue considering function but but I felt it big enough to hang up on something just at the wrong time. Probably not but I don't like it.
I have to say the case was totally unexpected and I'm very happy to have it in the event I want to safely store it without fear of it being damaged. Makes me think of a mini pelican case. Maybe it is!! The only complaint would be that if they are going to the effort to supply such a fine case, why not have it cut out the center portion of foam to surround the RMR opposed to sitting on top of it??
