bafflingbs's Review of Trijicon SRO 1x25x22.5mm Reflex Red Dot Sight

The SRO deserves it’s high praise, as it’s, in my opinion, the best handgun optic available today. No, it’s probably not the most rugged. But I don’t run my guns over with a truck, nor do I drop it from 20ft. I’m not made of money, and I don’t have sponsors sending me free stuff to evaluate. Its dot is crisp, even with my astigmatism. The forward light sensor, is absolutely on spot! From a pitch black house, to a super bright weapons light. It automatically adjusts brightness to your target, based upon the lighting conditions in front of you (the target). Not Ambient lighting, like a well known competitor, that gets drowned out when you activate your weapon light. I like my RMR type 2 6.5 MOA, but it takes way more time to acquire the dot, than it does for the SRO. The window size and the thin bezel is phenomenal. The RMR is admittedly, built like a tank. It’s thick bezel, and somewhat short window are its Achilles heal.
Now, the bad… Although mine is in great shape, you can tell it’s used. It also did not come with mounting screws. The funny thing is, it wasn’t until tonight, that I realized all 3 of my Trijicon’s were shipped without screws. Lastly, great case! But why is the optic free to bounce around in the box. It’s not secured in any way.
