At 7.8 Oz this is one lite rail. It is very smooth with no sharp edges. This rail is rock solid aswell, being carbon fiber there is a slight bit of flex when resting it on a surface. Also the fde color perfectly matches magpul fde products.
The only problem is when they coat these they also coat the aluminum ring on the inside that engages the barrel nut. It takes time, patience, and a wee bit of elbow grease to slide it on over the barrel nut.
But I am completely satisfied with this product, and if you are looking at a troy rail than you probably already know your going to buy it. These are top of the line free float tubes, the only way this could possibly get any better is if the offered it in 17" lengths.
