RC's Review of Troy Iron Sight
The front sight whether mounted on a gas block or on a rail has a list on the sight tower. If the sight base is mounted perfectly level then the sight tower will be off about five degrees. That requires the base to be mounted at an offset. When looking down the length of the gun the sight when folded looks off to the eye, but the tower will at least line up where it needs to be.
The base would be better served if it used two screws for mounting, with their heads being on opposite sides. That would allow a user to torque the sight base in perfectly for a better alignment.
If the sight is installed correctly it does function well, but for the high cost of the item it should be constructed to a higher standard than it is. Unfortunately the market is in such demand for AR15 related products that quality is allowed to slip. At half the current price I would be pleased with the sight. But at the price I paid I would not recommend this sight to another person.
