Troy perfection - Troy M-LOK AR308 15 in Handguard

This handguard paired exceptionally well with my ZEV 308. I was initially going to wait for a magnesium alloy handguard to cut down on the weight, but after 8 months I gave up. Luckily Troy was in stock and fit the bill nicely. Their handguard 15” high profile comes in at 13.2oz with the barrel nut. It isn’t the lightest but sure is durable. The added material around the section surrounding the barrel nut results in a superior lockup. I had my doubts but their system really clamps down and I could not get the thing to budge. Their is also virtually zero movement on the barrel end when torque is applied to the barrel, . The anodized finish is nice, albeit more matte than my receiver set. The contrast has grown on me so I don’t mind it. The m-lok slots are perfectly in spec and the T- markings are all numbered which is a quality touch if you ever decide to exchange accesories. Overall, I am glad to have given this company a try and you should too. They’re in stock and very well made/ engineered.
