Troy is not what they used to be - Troy PDW Stock Kits Black SBUT-PDW-F0BT00

Being in a career that gives me insight into what is necessary for hard use systems, I can say this product is far from holding that standard. I purchased this kit based on prior Troy products build quality. This kit, while the finish is good, simplicity is there, and idea is sound, falls short in the most important areas of functionality/fit and quality control. When extended, the stock has over a 1/4 inch of play not only up/down but also rotational. Despite moving your cheek/chin weld to the back of the buffer tube you cannot get a stable platform. The item falls into the defective category and is being sent back un-usable. This is NOT a reflection on Optics Planet. They are a superb company and I already have my Maxim SCW ordered and an RMA for this stock. If you are looking for a PDW system, look elsewhere.
