Aero m5 no go - TRYBE Defense AR Ambidextrous Enhanced Mil-Spec Charging Handle

I am building a predominantly Aero Precision M5E1 rifle chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor. My upper receiver (and sub-components) and BCG are Aero Precision. I opted for this ambi charging handle in the hopes that it would satisfy my ambi requirement. This was a no joy from the get go. Attempting to charge the rifle resulted in a 100% lockup of the BCG at about 10% of the pull. No amount of oil, elbow grease, or really bad language would get the BCG all the way back. I then threw down for an "Aero Precision .308 Ambidextrous Charging Handle APRH308103C"; twice the price, but I was betting on it working. Once it arrived I swapped out the charging handles and the BCG charged with ZERO effort, no binds, no catches, no bad language.

Lesson learned; if you run down a specific path, stick with it, regardless of the cost. Headaches will be fewer.
