Prepared's Review of TRYBE Defense Mil-Spec 5.56 Enhanced Complete Bolt Carrier Group (BCG)
Couldn't figure out how to edit my existing review so made another as follow up.
I have over 300 rounds on the BCG now NO ISSUES what so ever in those 300 rounds. This was a mix of lake city M855, 77gr OTM, 55gr FMJ for the most part. No appreciable wear that would cause me concern but it's still at a low round count so only time will tell. Coating is holding up fine however the bolt did discolor slightly from carbon or heat I would assume, Carrier color looks as it did when received.
I would recommend this carrier group as a spare or back up to have on hand, seems like it would work fine for a casual user.
I would not recommend this group for a duty or service grade rifle, My life saving devices need to be trusted implicitly. The hardware (YFS) as well as 0 marking of MFG. or testing done do not instill me with the confidence I want.
In short seems fine for a range gun, back up, or last resort. Wouldn't recommend for a duty weapon.
