NoNickname's Review of U.S. Optics TS-8X 1-8x24mm Rifle Scope, 30mm Tube, First Focal Plane

Theres a few problems that I've run into while using this optic that completely blindsided me since US optics put their name on this scope and decided to sell it. First let me be clear that I didn't care that the optic was sourced from overseas because I assumed that if US Optics was bold enough to slap their name on the optic it would live up to the reputation their name carried but let me tell you Il never buy from them again for selling me on this scope. In no particular order here are some problems and complaints I've had with my optic so far:
Problem 1. When hunting in low light conditions when I would turn on the reticules illumination a bunch of streak marks would appear all over the glass similar to wiping your window with a wet rag and letting it dry. Originally I thought this problem was my own fault so after I got back to the cabin I tried to use a microfiber cloth to clean the glass but nothing I did worked leading me to believe those streaks are somewhere on the inside glass components of the scope completely inaccessible to me.
Problem 2. The turrets are sub par to say the least. If I were to try and describe them id say the detent is minimal and doesn't offer very much feedback to your fingers letting you know you've turned the turret. The turret is exceptionally tight and hard to turn and when I say hard to turn Im talking about forces similar to the same amount of force you'd give a screwdriver to strip a screw. The shallow jimping makes me feel like my hands are going to slip before I can get the turret to move. The turret cap threads on easily but feels rough like the tap and die were getting worn out in the manufacturing process.
Problem 3. Im not a scope glass expert by any means but ill try to describe it the best I can, the glass on this scope just leaves me with an eh feeling it has a borderline fisheye effect and isn't a true 1x optic because of this distortion. In my opinion the glass has a bit of color distortion too but not enough to be glaringly obvious.
Problem 4. The reticle focus ring rotates way to easily with the included dust covers attached and I find it gets rotated when I am just using the rifle i.e. taking it in and out of a soft case, when it rides in the back of the kabota, and getting in and out of the truck.
Overall I'm disappointed with my first first focal plane scope and would recommend against buying this scope. Really unfortunate that the scope bugged me enough to get on here and write a review but these things happen and US optics will just have one less customer in the future ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
