Great accuracy for a reasonable cost - Ultradot Matchdot Red Dot Sight

I now own two Ultradot and two Ultradot Matchdot sights. I am a believer. If you are a competitive target shooter or want to hunt with a handgun, you can't do much better. The sights are easy to mount and hold zero. The range of reticle sizes and the polarized filter give you good visibility options over a range\e of lighting conditions. I can take the recoil of 45 Colt +P and 357 Magnum loads with complete repeatability. The UDMD sight weighs little and hence does not pose a problem in balancing the gun. Since there is no magnification, the practical range for competition target shooting is about 50 yards. Hunting will be effective up to 100 yards but I would stay within 75 for a clean kill. After zeroing the UDMD I shot a 1.75" grouping at 25 yards with 38 special hand-loads with a Ruger GP100 (6" Barrel). At my shooting club about 50% of the sights for Bullseye competition are UDMDs. The only complaint I have is the ability to remove the oculas to install the tube extension. On 3 of my 4 sights it was on too tight to back it off.
